Jun 20, 2024 | Nationwide News

Nominations are now open for the Safety Representative of the Year Award 2024, recently launched by the National Irish Safety Organisation (NISO) in association with The Cpl Institute.

The Safety Representative of the Year winner will be presented with a Certificate and a €600 cheque sponsored by The Cpl Institute. The prize will be presented to the overall winner at the NISO/NISG Annual Awards Dinner on Friday 11 October in the Great Southern Hotel, Killarney. The closing date for entries (including online entries) is Friday 13 September 2024.

To nominate someone or to enter directly, complete an online entry form which must be completed by a supervisor/manager*. The competition will be judged by a panel of experts in health and safety, including a representative from NISO and The Cpl Institute. Judges are interested in details of specific contributions made by a safety representative, which has resulted in positive advances in workplace health and safety. Entrants will be guided by the questions on the nomination form, or they may add additional information as they see fit.

* A safety rep, safety committee member or other non-management employee is generally nominated by a line manager or safety manager/officer for this award.
